The Brain EJX offers Hardware and

Software (Password) Write Protection for

all input parameters and Software Protection

for the zero-adjustment screw. These great

features allow the customer to protect the

settings in the transmitter and offer the

following features:

• Hardware Write Protection in the

form of a switch on the CPU

assembly board.

• Software Write Protection in the

form of a Password feature.

 The Password feature can be

turned on & off.

 Each transmitter can have a

unique password.

 The Password can be any 8-digit

alphanumeric string

 If you forget your password, an

override password is pre-

programmed into the transmitter.

• The Zero-adjustment screw can also

be Software protected.

Section 1.0 Hardware Write Protection

The Brain EJX transmitter has a Write

Protection (WR) switch located on the CPU

Assembly Board next to the Burn Out (BO)

switch. * (See Figure 1) When the WR

switch is in the “D” (Disabled) position; the

transmitter will not allow parameter changes

through the use of a handheld terminal or

some other communication method. When

the WR switch is in the “E” (Enable)

position, communication will be allowed.

* Refer to the exploded view of the transmitter in the

Instruction Manual (IM) for the location of the

CPU
